A picture of me in my twenties when I was an active French and Indian War re-enactor... I portrayed a Native scout for the French (pictured in the far left of the photo standing up).

  2. Thank you and yes, I portrayed a scout attached to "Captain Jean Vincient's band of Abenaki warriors".

  3. This was an F&I event at Fort Ticonderoga (Carillion for the period)... The name of the group paid homage to Jean-Vincent d'Abbadie de Saint-Castin who led a band of "Wabanaki" (Abenaki) warriors before the French and Indian War. It was a lot of fun to camp and "live" as they did in the 18th century (or at least as close as possible lol) . We always did a couple winter events (the Battle on Snowshoes and some lesser known engagements); those were a real eye opener when it was below zero and you had to huddle around a campfire at night...it definitely gave me a lot of respect for the people who had to live their entire lives that way.
